Worldwide travel has provided Maureen with a constant variety of inspiration.  Painting mainly in oils and using various techniques to describe atmosphere and texture, she paints the softness of English seasons, dawns, dusks, shadows and mists as well the bright contrasting colours derived from the heat of the Mediterranean and Far Eastern countries.

Maureen lives and works in a small Cotswold town in Oxfordshire. After achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Graphic Design and Illustration as a mature student in 2001, she ran a successful Graphic Design business for 7 years before a passion for painting botanical watercolours took over.  In recent years, she has sidestepped from this highly detailed work to develop a looser and more expressive approach in oils and mixed media. She has exhibited in the annual Oxfordshire Artweeks Festival as well as other local galleries and exhibitions. She has also exhibited in London and her paintings have sold worldwide.
